Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and Bot Goblin. Bot Goblin and Meowlyn Bots refer to the custom Discord bot service offered through bot-goblin.com. In these Terms, Bot Goblin, we, us, and our mean the operator of that service.

These Terms apply when you visit bot-goblin.com, pay a deposit, submit a custom Discord bot request, use the client portal, install or authorize a Bot Goblin Discord bot, interact with the bot, or receive related setup, hosting, support, or maintenance services.

If you use the service for a company, organization, Discord server, or community, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms and request the service for that organization, server, or community.

A signed agreement, written quote, invoice, statement of work, or written project scope controls if it expressly conflicts with these Terms for a specific project.

Bot Goblin provides custom Discord bot planning, development, configuration, deployment, optional hosting, and related support services. The exact deliverables, timeline, support period, hosting terms, maintenance terms, and any remaining balance are confirmed in the accepted written scope or project discussion.

Client-owned handoff projects may include a working Discord bot, bot app setup, customer-owned hosting setup, shared code access, update instructions, and guidance for inspecting, updating, testing, or restarting the bot.

The website may include a request form, checkout flow, customer portal, Discord OAuth login, email magic-link login, and administrative review tools.

Submitting an order, installing the bot, or describing requested features does not guarantee that every requested feature will be accepted, quoted, delivered, or technically possible.

The $99 custom bot deposit is credited toward accepted custom bot work. Paying the deposit opens the short intake form and reserves review time after you submit it.

Refund requests are reviewed case by case before build work starts. Approved refunds, cancellations, remaining balances, and exceptions are handled under the accepted written scope and these Terms.

After you submit the intake, you will receive a response within 72 business hours. Some smaller or very clear bot requests can be ready in as little as 24 hours after review.

The deposit does not guarantee a final project price, final delivery date, feature approval, ongoing hosting, maintenance, or support beyond the review and scoping process unless those items are included in a written project scope.

Additional fees, milestone payments, subscription fees, hosting fees, provider account costs, support fees, or maintenance fees apply only when confirmed in writing. Work may be paused until required payments are received.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on this website.

Your use of the bot, website, and any delivered Discord automation must comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms, Developer Policy, and any other applicable Discord rules.

Discord is a third-party platform. Discord may change its APIs, policies, permissions, verification requirements, rate limits, commands, interaction rules, account status, or availability at any time. Those changes may affect bot features, hosting, support, delivery, or continued operation.

We may refuse, modify, pause, disable, or remove requested features that appear to violate Discord rules, third-party terms, applicable law, user safety expectations, or the security of any server, account, or service.

When you install, authorize, or configure a Bot Goblin Discord bot, you are responsible for granting only the permissions needed for the agreed bot functions and for reviewing the permissions requested during installation.

You are responsible for your Discord server configuration, roles, channels, moderator access, administrator access, account security, and any server-specific rules that apply to the bot.

You must not use the bot to bypass Discord permissions, impersonate others, evade moderation, automate abuse, collect data without proper notice or consent, or interfere with Discord, Bot Goblin, or any third-party service.

You are responsible for providing accurate contact details, Discord IDs, server IDs, role IDs, channel IDs, feature requirements, what the bot should and should not be allowed to do, branding materials, third-party service details, and timely review feedback.

Do not submit bot tokens, passwords, private API keys, recovery codes, payment card numbers, private keys, access tokens, or other secrets through this website, Discord messages, request forms, or support messages unless we expressly ask for a secure transfer method.

You must have the rights and authority needed for all server content, names, logos, copy, workflows, third-party accounts, data, and integrations included in your order.

For customer-owned hosting/account setup or client-owned handoff projects, you are responsible for the accounts, billing, permissions, access decisions, and update instructions you approve unless a written scope says otherwise.

If you provide inaccurate information, delayed feedback, unsafe access, incomplete requirements, or unauthorized materials, delivery may be delayed, changed, paused, or cancelled.

You may not use the website, client portal, bot, custom work, or support channels for unlawful activity, harassment, hate, threats, spam, phishing, credential theft, malware, platform abuse, payment fraud, unauthorized scraping, unauthorized surveillance, doxxing, impersonation, evading bans, manipulating engagement, or violating privacy rights.

You may not request or use bot features that collect, process, or expose sensitive regulated data unless that handling is specifically reviewed and accepted in a written agreement. This includes payment card data, government identifiers, protected health information, financial account credentials, and similarly sensitive information.

You may not reverse engineer hosted service components, interfere with the website or bot infrastructure, abuse endpoints, bypass rate limits, test vulnerabilities without written permission, or use the service in a way that harms other users, Discord communities, or third-party systems.

You keep ownership of materials you provide, including server names, logos, copy, requirements, configuration details, workflows, screenshots, and other project materials.

You grant us a non-exclusive license to use, copy, modify, host, process, display, and transmit those materials as needed to review your order, build and test the bot, provide hosting, deliver support, troubleshoot issues, document configuration, and maintain records.

You are responsible for ensuring that your client content and requested workflows do not infringe another person's rights, violate law, violate Discord rules, or require permissions you do not have.

We retain ownership of pre-existing code, libraries, templates, internal tools, reusable components, deployment workflows, documentation, business processes, and know-how that are used to provide the service.

After you pay the agreed project balance, you receive the license or access rights described in the accepted written scope for the delivered bot, configuration, or materials. Unless stated otherwise in writing, that license is for your own Discord server or project and does not include resale, redistribution, sublicensing, public source release, or exclusive ownership.

Source code delivery, repository access, self-hosting rights, transfer rights, exclusive rights, white-label rights, commercial resale rights, or assignment of copyright are included only if expressly stated in the written project scope.

Open-source components, third-party packages, Discord libraries, and platform tools remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

The service depends on third-party services, including Discord, Stripe, hosting providers, database providers, email providers, domain and DNS providers, security services, analytics or logging tools, and other integrations requested for a project.

Third-party services are controlled by their own providers. Their outages, fees, policy changes, API changes, account actions, data practices, legal terms, and availability are outside our control.

When a project uses customer-owned hosting, GitHub, Discord app, domain, email, or similar provider accounts, provider fees are separate costs that you are responsible for unless the written scope says otherwise.

You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms that apply to third-party services you ask us to integrate or configure.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website, bot, client portal, public endpoint, or hosted service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent feature availability, or compatibility with every Discord change.

Support obligations, response expectations, uptime targets, maintenance windows, hosting responsibilities, and bug-fix periods apply only if they are included in a written project scope or support agreement.

We may retain collaborator, repository, server, or Discord application access for ongoing paid support when agreed. You may request access changes, but removing access may limit support, troubleshooting, or update work.

We may deploy updates needed for security, platform compliance, bug fixes, infrastructure changes, or feature maintenance.

You are responsible for keeping your Discord account, server administrator accounts, email account, payment account, third-party service accounts, and credentials secure.

You must promptly notify us if you believe a bot, token, account, integration, endpoint, client portal link, or project-related credential has been compromised.

You are responsible for reviewing commands or changes proposed by coding helpers or other tools before applying them to a live bot, hosting server, code workspace, Discord app, or production service.

We may revoke sessions, rotate credentials, disable integrations, pause bot access, or take other reasonable steps to protect the service, a project, or users.

Non-public project details, private server configuration details, private access information, and unreleased bot requirements should be treated as confidential by both sides unless they are already public, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

This confidentiality section does not prevent us from using general skills, know-how, techniques, and reusable ideas learned while providing services, as long as we do not disclose your confidential information.

We may suspend or terminate access to the website, bot, client portal, support, hosting, or a project if you violate these Terms, fail to pay required amounts, provide unsafe or unauthorized materials, request prohibited features, abuse staff or users, create legal or security risk, or make continued service impractical.

You may stop using the website or bot at any time. Project cancellation, refunds, handoff, hosting termination, source delivery, and outstanding balances are handled under the accepted written scope and these Terms.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including payment obligations, intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnification, and dispute terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, bot, client portal, public endpoint, custom services, and delivered work are provided as-is and as available, except for any specific written commitments included in an accepted project scope.

We disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, uninterrupted operation, and error-free performance.

We do not promise that any feature will remain compatible with Discord, Stripe, hosting providers, email providers, third-party APIs, operating systems, libraries, or future platform changes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bot Goblin is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, reputational harm, business interruption, Discord enforcement, server moderation outcomes, third-party outages, payment provider actions, or loss of access to third-party accounts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the website, bot, client portal, project, or services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific project or service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some limits may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bot Goblin from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your content, your Discord server, your requested workflows, your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your violation of third-party rights, or your violation of Discord or third-party service terms.

A project-specific written agreement may include its own governing law, venue, dispute process, or remedies, and those terms control for that project.

Before filing a claim, each side agrees to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other side and describing the issue in enough detail to allow review.

Nothing in these Terms prevents either side from seeking urgent relief for security incidents, intellectual property misuse, confidentiality breaches, payment disputes, or unauthorized access.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms apply when posted unless a later effective date is stated. Your continued use of the website, bot, client portal, or services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

If a change materially affects an active written project, the accepted written scope remains controlling for that project unless both sides agree otherwise.
