Not usually. This is best for custom builds where the exact workflow, branding, personality, or feature set matters.
How much does a custom Discord bot cost?
The final cost depends on the features, integrations, dashboard needs, hosting expectations, polish level, and support requirements. The $100 deposit is credited toward the final custom bot quote.
What does the $100 deposit cover?
It reserves review time, unlocks the full request form, and covers the initial scope review needed to turn your idea into a clear project plan.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. The current Terms of Service state that the $100 custom bot deposit is non-refundable and credited toward the final custom bot project.
Do I need to send a bot token?
No. Do not send bot tokens, passwords, private API keys, payment card numbers, or credentials through the website.
Can you build a bot just for fun or to show off?
Yes, as long as the request is safe and allowed by Discord and third-party platform rules. Custom personality bots, event bots, launch bots, games, private utilities, and polished server-specific commands are all valid project ideas.
Can I own the bot application?
Possibly. The current request flow assumes Meowlyn Bots creates and manages the bot application unless another ownership or handoff model is agreed in the project scope.
Do you provide hosting?
Hosting is discussed during scope review. Hosting responsibilities, uptime expectations, maintenance, support, and handoff details should be included in the accepted project scope.
Can you work with an existing bot?
Possibly, depending on the codebase, permissions, hosting, and ownership situation. Include details in the request form.
What kinds of bots will you refuse to build?
Meowlyn Bots will not build bots for spam, mass-DM abuse, credential theft, token grabbing, malware, unauthorized scraping, platform-rule evasion, or other abusive behavior.
What information should I prepare before starting?
Server ID, important channel and role IDs, admin/user IDs, feature list, desired bot personality or style, what the bot should and should not be allowed to do, and launch notes.
