Privacy Policy
Last updated July 1, 2026
This policy covers the Bot Goblin website, client portal, custom Discord bot work, bot installation, bot interactions, deposits, payments, login flows, and support.
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Bot Goblin and Meowlyn Bots collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit bot-goblin.com, pay a deposit, submit a request, use the client portal, install or interact with a Bot Goblin Discord bot, or contact us for support.
This policy does not replace the privacy policies or terms of Discord, Stripe, hosting providers, email providers, or other third-party services used with the website or bot.
What information is collected
We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, Discord username, Discord user ID, Discord server ID, server name, role IDs, channel IDs, order requirements, feature requests, support messages, screenshots, project notes, admin notes, and other details needed to review, build, deliver, and support custom Discord bot work.
If you submit project materials, configuration details, branding, copy, workflow descriptions, hosting preferences, code access details, provider account details, or handoff notes, we use that information to evaluate the order, prepare a scope, build and test the bot, provide support, and keep project records.
Do not send bot tokens, passwords, private API keys, recovery codes, payment card numbers, private keys, access tokens, or other secrets unless we specifically provide a secure transfer method.
Discord IDs and project details
When you use Discord OAuth, install a bot, use bot commands, or interact with the bot, we may receive or process Discord account identifiers, server identifiers, role identifiers, channel identifiers, command names, interaction payloads, timestamps, permission details, and related metadata provided by Discord.
The bot may process message, interaction, member, role, channel, or server information only to the extent needed for the configured bot features, Discord permissions, moderation workflows, automation workflows, troubleshooting, security, and support.
Discord controls its own platform, accounts, data, APIs, and developer requirements. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's own terms and privacy notices.
Payment processing through Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We may receive and store payment status, checkout session identifiers, customer identifiers, payment intent identifiers, invoice details, deposit status, refund status, and related transaction metadata.
We do not store full payment card numbers on this website. Payment providers handle card data under their own legal terms, privacy policies, and security controls.
Login/session behavior
We may collect website and technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, request logs, error logs, security logs, session cookies, authentication tokens, and timestamps.
Customer login may use email magic links or Discord OAuth. These systems may process login attempts, session data, email addresses, and account identifiers needed to authenticate access.
Admin OAuth behavior
Admin access may use Discord OAuth and website-code administrator user IDs. Discord OAuth can provide account identifiers and profile details needed to decide whether an admin is allowlisted.
Admin dashboard access is separate from customer magic-link login.
Why information is collected
We use information to operate the website, process deposits, review orders, prepare quotes, build and test custom bots, deliver project work, provide hosting or support, send order access emails, authenticate users, administer the client portal, troubleshoot issues, monitor security, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce terms, improve services, and comply with legal obligations.
We may also use project and usage information to maintain internal records, debug bot behavior, investigate errors, respond to Discord platform changes, and protect the safety and integrity of the bot, website, users, and Discord communities.
Data sharing with service providers
We share information only as needed to provide, secure, support, or legally protect the service. Recipients may include Discord, Stripe, hosting providers, database providers, email providers, domain and DNS providers, security services, logging services, contractors, professional advisers, and legal or government authorities when required.
We may share project details with contractors or service providers who help review, build, test, host, maintain, hand off, or support the bot, including hosting, code workspace, and update support providers when relevant. They may use the information only for the work they perform for the service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and session storage
The website may use cookies, session storage, authentication tokens, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect sessions, remember security state, operate checkout and portal flows, and understand basic site performance.
We may collect privacy-conscious first-party attribution fields such as UTM parameters, CTA identifiers, landing page, current page, and referrer domain so we can understand which pages and messages produce qualified contacts and paid deposits.
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, but some parts of the site, checkout flow, or client portal may not work correctly without them.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, complete projects, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and preserve useful project records.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the status of the project, legal requirements, payment records, Discord platform needs, and support history. We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
Security note
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
No website, bot, endpoint, database, email system, payment flow, or internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your own Discord account, email account, server permissions, and third-party credentials secure.
For client-owned handoff projects, you are responsible for reviewing coding helper actions, server commands, code workspace changes, and update steps before applying them to your bot or hosting.
How users can request deletion or correction
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of information associated with your order or account by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding.
We may decline or limit a request if retaining information is necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, project records, or another lawful reason.
You may remove the bot from your Discord server through Discord. Removing the bot may stop future processing for that server, but it may not delete historical project records, payment records, logs, or backups immediately.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Discord servers and communities may include users of different ages. Server owners and administrators are responsible for configuring the bot and their server in a way that complies with applicable law and Discord requirements.
International users
The service is operated from the United States. If you access the website or bot from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.
By using the service, you understand that privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Third-party links and services
The website and bot may link to or integrate with Discord, Stripe, GitHub, hosting providers, email providers, AI coding tools, and other third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices, security controls, and terms.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or availability of third-party services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy applies when posted unless a later effective date is stated. Your continued use of the website, bot, client portal, or services after an update means you accept the updated policy.
